You wake up in the morning, grab your phone next to your bed, and groggily ask it “What’s the weather like today?” only to hear Siri tell you, “Today’s forecast is 62 degrees and partly sunny.” Suddenly you have a newfound zest for life, a determination to get up and make the most out of the day, because this means one thing: It’s sweater weather.
I fully admit, I am one of those basic girls who loves sweater weather and all of its basic implications. Corn mazes! Hay rides! Other autumn-like things that most people living in a city don’t do! It’s just the idea of doing those novelty things, okay? We like to romanticize the season within an inch of our pumpkin spice latte-sipping lives.
Before I get into the outfit, can we just talk about how red my hair looks in this photo for a second? Seriously, the ginger inside me is doing a happy dance right now.
Anyway, back to boots! I wear these combat boots almost every day in the fall because they’re so simple, yet they give a bit of edge to whatever outfit I’m wearing. I decided to go with an all-black ensemble for this one (though let’s be honest, I go with an all-black ensemble pretty much all the time). The shirt is Pink Rose, which I got from Goodwill, and I wore a pair of jeggings from Walmart. (You can find a similar Pink Rose sweater here.)
The boots are G by Guess that I got free from someone who was giving them away. (Why? Why would you just give away a pair of black boots?!) I found a similar pair on Amazon for about $40, so now I’m definitely holding onto these bad boys.
